rpf1 tire size

Hey guys. I bought a set of rpf1 from a buddy. He had 245/4518 tires on the rims and I'm having trouble with rubbing issues. Wheel specs are 18" rpf1 +35. The tires are 245/45. My questions are how many of you guys are running with this offset and tire spec? Can i go 235/40 (like how tire rack recommends )? I want meaty tires but dont want to have any issues with rubbing. What do you guys recommend. This car is a daily driver. Thanks for the help guys!

Rubbing issues is when turning the steering wheel I rub aginst the the fender wheel well( the black liner). Not the fender. Fenders are fine.

Heres some pictures of my car with the rims on. Front is lowered with megan racing coilovers rear isnt. havent had time to throw them on yet. Soon I hope!

That size is a bit taller than normal. I'd go 235/40-18 if the wheel width is correct.
