Opinions on wheels that look similar to XXR 527s?

I absolutely love the way my wheels look, but the crappy quality and horrible offset is really bothering the hell out of me. I was told that the last time the car was on the dyno, you could see the hub of the wheel wasn't actually in the center. It's obvious when the wheel is rolling.

Can you guys recommend some wheels that look very similar to the XXRs? I'd really like to go as lightweight as I can while keeping the same look.

Mr Acree

Youve been here a while. Your post is too vague w/ no pics, no offset, etc, etc

Sorry. I have now included pics on the first post. I'm currently running 18x9.75 + 20.

I'm not wanting to be too specific here. I just want to know what other wheels people have seen that look very similar to this wheel pattern.

Yes I do. They are heavy compared to say RPF1's or Volks, and are definitely not the highest quality. You can't expect much when you pay $600 for a set of new wheels. That was my mistake, expecting too much.

you just need to pick up hubcentric rings that fit the wheels and that will fix the centering problem (73.1mm is the 527 hub bore)

The XXR 527's are a copy of the WedsSport TC105N which are very lightweight and forged, but are more expensive (for a reason) and not as concave.

Pic of a TC105N:

I vote the ADVANS RS. Too bad the prices have really moved up on these.

I'm confused. If the wheel isn't centered why not just buy centering rings and be done rather then drop $$$ for new wheels?

I'm using beveled wheel lugs. It's not an issue of the wheel not being centered on the hub. It's an issue of the hub not being perfectly centered in the cast.

And plus, they are 22 lbs a piece for the 18x9.75. That's a good 4-6 lbs heavier per wheel than most quality (read forged) wheels out there.

Plus, the offset puts the wheels about 5mm too far out, but that's the only offset they are offered in!

I've always loved Advans, and they look freaking killer! But I'm not shelling out $3500 for a set of wheels. $2k is already pretty far up there, but I could stomach that. $3.5k is ridiculous.

But they do look great...

beveled lugs still won't center the wheel perfectly

easiest first option is to pick up a set of hubcentric rings (73.1mm for the 527's) and see if that fixes your problems

Even if I can get the wheels perfectly centered, it doesn't fix the offset and the fact that they are crap quality. Having a $600 set of knock off wheels on a $50k car is dumb.

The point of this thread was for recommendations for wheels that look similar to the XXRs, not to fix the XXRs.

24 lbs for 18x9.0. But they do look decent.
