I had positive experiences with the Z1's a couple years ago. Might be willing to go back to Dunlops after the RS3's are done.

Neil, do you have final word on the DOT rating and also pricing? If people are ordering already, you must have some pricing in the system, no?

People are ordering, but I do not have any tech data on them yet. 235/45-17 is currently priced at $167 ea plus shipping.

Torn between these and RS3's for next season's autox. The one thing that is somewhat making me lean towards the dunlops is after 14 autox days (4-7 runs per day on 70ish second courses) my RS3's have little to no tread pattern left. How far down can you run these tires safely (assuming of course dry no rain). How are the ZII's supposed to compare in dry grip vs the RS3's?

How would you compare these to a Nitto NT-05 tire?

These should blow the nt05s out of the water. I had nt05s then switched to Z1s and could tell a huge improvement.

Really won't know differences in how they perform vs. others until we get inventory and start testing.

Bummer, according to http://www.onehotlap.com/2012/11/dun...i-tire-as.html --
12/26/2012 UPDATE
According to Larry from the Tirerack, the ZII tires will be delayed by 3 weeks and they now expect to receive them the first week of March. Earliest they will be delivered to customers Stateside is the second week of March.

Let's hope they get here in time for the new AX season!

Looks like I found my new summer tire. Glad I didn't order the Z1's already. Will be interesting to see how much better Dunlop can make the direzza.
