Question Tanabe Coils

So i just bought an Evo IX, it has Tanabe coils on it. I am looking to dampen the coils, however it appears that I am missing the a piece. So I am just wondering if I can dampen the coils by turning the part I do have, or whether that would loosen my coil and cause it to detach from the car at all; or would I be safe turning the part I do have? I will attach pictures of what the manual says I should have and what I actually have on the car. I'm mainly just wondering if I should call Tanabe and get some of the "damper force adjustment dials" or whether I should be okay. Thanks for all the help, sorry I am a coil noob!

Yeah I wouldn't mess around with that unless you are sure you are positive of its current orientation. +1 for calling Tanabe and seeing if they can help you out.
