Due to poor exchange rates you also might want to re-evaluate the costs of the wheels if you haven't researched the prices recently. When I got my RPF-1's from Nino I also checked with Discount Tire and their price went up about $300 over a price quoted to me in the middle of last year! Nino also charged me a little more, but not nearly as much as Discount wanted to.

Theres a guy selling a set of stock wheels on here for under 800 bucks, spotless apparently. Isn't that just as good an option? no fitment/quality issues
BTW, all the wheels I posted are good quality and are offered in proper fitments.

broeli,
whats the biggest tire for 17x8.5's..??
For track tire.. wouldnt you get the largest wheel you can get?
hence, i would only consider 17x9s....
I also heard that 17x9.5 would also fit...

Biggest tire I ever plan running will be 255's. which will work with any of the rims 8"-9".
But Yokohama recommends up to 265 series with an 8.5" rim and 275 with a 9" rim.
One thing you have to consider with a 9" rim and a wide tire is that it will sometimes require fender rolling/cutting which is ok if you want to run SM, but I don't have any immediate plans for SM, and I don't want to mess with fender rolling.
Even the 17x9 RP02J with a 255 requires some minor rear rolling or cutting.
These may be my street wheels anyway.

An 8.5 with correct offset should be fine. Also, some 9" rims will be fine also. I think the 17x9" fn01rc and 255's is fine without rubbing. I just know that supposedly the RP02J will rub a tad in the rear in 17x9 and 255's (according to another member of this board that has them and 255 Kumho Victoracers)
All the rims listed should be ok with stock size 235's.
