Like I mentioned earlier in this post, the Pro Race 1's, according to the website, are 19.9lbs, but are extremely strong. Anyone know if these are hub or lug centric? Todd's checking on this.

broeli,

I like the Racing Sparco's much better. If they are heavy then maybe I can use the Sparraco's as my everday rims and put my racing tires on my stock Enkei rims. They will hold 245's also.

Can we get verification on the weight of the Pro Race 1. I am now hearing that they are heavy too.

-Doug

PS - thanks for starting this thread -- it has been very helpful

Yep, just what broeli said. I thought about those Sparcos, too becuase I really liked how they looked but decided against them.

Broeli: Anthracite will look good on a silver Evo. I hope they look good on Blue. I really wanted the bronze ones but no one could give me a time when they may have them.

stock enkeis

SCC had the TDR Pro Race 1 in their last wheel buyers guide with a weight of 15.8 lbs for a 17 x 7 50 mm offset, so the Evo size should be a little more but should not be 19 or 20 lbs.

WOW - i thought the stock rims were supposed to be light....

Ok - so now I am thinking about going back to the DR Pro Race 1's. Do you have a number for Todd?

Go with what you like, if you like the Sparco Tarmacs get them. There is a pic in the wheel thread of a black Evo with white tarmacs on it and it looks good. I just wanted something that was not real expensive but gave it the WRC look that is why when I saw the pics of the TDR Pro Race 1 I was convinced it was the wheel I wanted to get.

Here is Frisby Performance Tire phone #1.800.798.7201
just ask for Todd and he should be able to help you out.

bullfrg,

hey thanks man. Deciding on a rim has turned out to be the hardes decision of any for me to make regarding my car. It is such a looks issue when it comes to rims. I guess there is weight and structural integerity but it all just boils down to looks.

I am going to look for that picture of the black evo with the tarmacs on it.
