Hawk Pads or OEM Brembs or Other?

Im used to the patented brake squeel of brembos, but the amount of brake dust that they kick out is insane. I have heard that alot of people are swapping out the OEM Brembo pads out for the Hawk Pads to elminate a good bit of the dust. How do the Hawk pads comapir in performance to the Brembos? Is there any othe rbrake companies out there that are good for cutting down on the amount of brake dust but also perform better then the OEM Brembos as well?

The Hawk HPS cuts it down quite a bit. Noise is about the same but the lack of dust, at least when I've used them, is noticeable. I've always had great luck with the HPS line on my cars.

I had hawk pads on my srt-4 and they were terrible. Sure you get less dust, but they took twice as much pressure to stop, and yes they were broken in properly.

Yeah, not a lot of love for Hawk on the EVO board for some reason.

I have low speed and light application squeal on my Stoptech 309's. Not sure if it's due to bad bed in but I did the best I could.

Hawks and Evo fixed calipers seem to equal noise for a lot of people.

Im using stoptechs and no squeal here. They are a good pad for the money, good for autox and street.

ENDLESS NS97 if you want low noise and dust.

ENDLESS SSM compound if you want a "dust less" pad, they are a quietest in the range.

I'm surprised that nobody's mentioned Girodisc Magic Pads yet. Very good street performance with minimal dust and squealing compared to OEM pads. Pretty reasonable price-wise as well.

I loved the HPS for little while. because when they are hot they brake great. But when cold braking is worse then stock which can be scary if it catches you off guard.
