Wheel offset?

I'm looking for a slightly better suspension and some wider wheels to stuff under the evo. I dont know how this offset stuff works as I never had had to mess with wheels that were not stock or from another vehicle of the same family. So my biggest question that I cannot find the answer to is what the correct offset for my evo viii or what is the minimum and maximum offset?

it's all relative to the camber you are willing to run, the ride height, the tire profile, etc., etc.

generally nothing higher than +20 is recommended for "easy" fitment

Camber change is the number of degrees of camber that the front wheels lose or gain from static (down the straightaway) to dynamic (in the middle of the turns). There is an optimum amount of camber change for each of the front wheels. The amount of track banking is an important factor in determining the best design for your car to produce this change.

Rifle through the attached file. After some study you will begin to see the average range of offset & tire width

Unless your willing to aggressively massage your rear fenders I recommend using offsets above the +30 range (+30 to +38) & dont mess w/your camber settings to fit. Please note: Camber & ride height have nothing to do w/proper fitment

So is there a minimum offset and a max offset of the rims that can be utilized on a stock wheel well and how do each affect dynamic camber?
