closest to stock height lowering springs

Have an 03 Evo 8 and I bought the car with an unknown type of lowering springs which are way too low for my taste. I actually got my front lip torn off way too easily.
I'm looking for decently priced springs close to stock height and even after looking through Evom and the internets I can't find anything good. I'm a noob with suspensions. All help is greatly appreciated.

Swift Spec-R and GTWorx springs are a perfect ride height to still utilize the range of motion your stock struts need to operate effectively. I'm not sure the Swift drop dimension, but the GTWorx are -3/4 up front and -5/8 in the rear.

The three difference springs that I would recommend would be the following:

Gtworx -.78, -.59
RobiSpec -1, -1
Swift (Sport or Spec-R) -1.4, -.8

All three are known to be good performance oriented springs so you can't go wrong with any of the above. If you looking for the smallest drop then the Gtworx would be for you.

However, come to think about it, why not just go back to the stock springs?

I was looking for the stock springs but couldn't find them without the struts.

Did you ever look in the classifieds section on here? I see you're new so I'm not sure if you have access to that part of the forum but here are two sets that appear to not yet be sold.

I can vouch for the first guy so if it were up to me I would work with him.

If you can stand a 1" drop and you are willing to spend just a few bucks more, do yourself a favor and get a set of Robispec springs:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROBISPEC-EVO-8-9-LOWERING-KIT-03-06-LANCER-EVO-/281266188147?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item417cc56f73&vxp=mtr
They ride more comfortable than stock and handling is terrific

Just remember for the install: tightly wound coils on the bottom - loose ones at the top - writing on the coils is upside down.

That link to the robispecs on eBay says it's only $89 for the set. Sounds too good to be true.

They are real Robispecs.

However buying from Robi for more money will give you free suspension set-up advice that is definitely worth it IMO ....

I think I'm going to go with the gtworx springs. I've read a lot of great stuff about them.

Just another noob question. Because I'm so new to lowered suspension, with the just under 1" drop in the front with the gtworx springs will I have trouble going over speed bumps or steeper driveways and the such? Because that's exactly what I'm trying to avoid considering I tore off my front lip when I first got the car.

Well you need to be careful but it's not like the car is slammed anymore. It's really the proper height for the car. I have an inclined driveway and never worry about it. I can't say I've ever driven it over speedbumps. You need to be the most careful with parking pavers.

Thanks for all responses. It's helped quite a bit. I just ordered a set of gtworx springs. Can't wait to install them.

Two things to note:

1. You will need to re-aim your headlights as they will now be too low.

2. The rake means that your nose is still quite low, it surprized me how easy to scrape it was after I had this job done.

I wish I had known these two things before I started, I might have gone with Robi to avoid changing my rake.

that said, the GTWorx are damn good.

Can you post a pic of your car with the gtworx so I can see how low your nose still is?
