Whiteline Lower Ball Joints Loose

So I was doing my oil change last weekend and while I was at it I checked the front end for play. I was noticing a clunking noise for a couple weeks. Just so happens the driver side lower ball joint was loose. Previous owner installed the whiteline rck. I emailed the US whiteline rep and he said they are unable to sell the ball joints separately, need to purchase the full kit. Well it's not cheap so I might be stuck installing the stock parts (previous owner gave me the stock ball joints and tie rods). Anyone else have this problem and what did you end up doing? I really don't want to eliminate the rck kit but don't want to pay for a full kit. Also noticed there's hardly any grease or fittings for the ball joints/tie rods. Might be a reason why these parts are failing so quickly. By the way I own an 05 gsr.
Thanks guys

check the retaining bolt for the ball joint into the clamp to make sure that is the issue. if so easy quick fix.

That didn't make much sense. You must be asking if the bolt/nut holding the ball joint into the knuckle is tight, and it is. From the email I recieved from whiteline it seems as if they're not willing to help a potential new customer out.

yes that bolt...if it is loose you will get what you are describing. If you say it is tight then maybe the ball joint itself. But they arent noted for going bad very much. as you noted there arent any grease fittings on the Whitleine or OEM parts. But you can re-pack by pulling the dust boot and re-filling with fresh grease..OTOH if one joint is bad, they other cant be too far behind.. How many miles are on the whiteline joints?

Either way the joints have to be pressed in and out of the arm so bear that in mind. Fresh all around is a better way to go even if it cost more.

As stated above, it might just be a simple case of having to re-pack the ball joint with some fresh grease.

I'm in the market for the Whiteline RCK, and I have found that the masses have only good things to say about it.

Post some further details if you end up tearing into it.
