What to do with 3 perfectly good tires?

All,

I picked up a nail in my passenger front which could not be repaired. I now have a new set of winter tires and wheels, and a summer set (thanks TireRack!). However, I also have 3 perfectly good stock tires. What should I do with them? I've never had an AWD vehicle before, so this is new to me.

Thanks for the input,

Jonathan

How many miles are on those ? If its less than 1,000 i wouldnt see any harm in picking up a new one of the same tire. Otherwise find someone to buy those off you and youll need 4 matching tires

Not sure what kind of tires they are but does Tire Rack still sell them? If so you can always pick up a single and have them shave it to match the tread depth of your other 3 tires. Alternatively you can sell them.

Thanks all. They are older than 1000 miles. I have not measured the tread, but it looks about half worn. So they would have lasted another season or maybe two, but that's about it. I'll look into unloading them cheap just to move them. My loss = someone else' gain.

If you only need one to complete the set, and we carry it, I can have a new tire shaved down to match the others depth. That service runs $25 per tire.
