Should I buy some like new megan coilovers for 550?
My buddy is offering to sell his megan coilovers for 550?
I've wanted coilovers for a while now, but some very good ones.
How are megan coilovers? And for 550 can I go wrong?

They are good as poopie flavored lollipop, especially for being used. Many factors can go wrong with a used coilover. Buying a turd coilover, doesn't necessarily mean, it's going to be better than OEM. Megan coilovers are cheap in every way possible. They try provide a lot of features for a low cost. But, to provide all those fancy features, What must be done, is to cheap out on the components that go into them. In the end a Cheap coilover will always be cheap coilover. Megan racing coilovers seem to have a reputation for blowing seals and dying rather quickly. Plus megan's are not rebuildable. I don't care what other's have to say about them, but their is no such thing as good cheap coilover's. Avoid brands like D2, K-sport, BC racing, Megan's, Godspeed.
Save the money for a good quality coilover. The Fortune auto 500's is the best bang for buck. Theirs no other coilover for this price range that is better. Check out their website, might be worth looking into.

Buy Fortune Auto 500's with the Swift spring upgrade and radial bearings. For the price they can not be beat. Megan makes junk products, I would never consider anything from them especially coils. Dont ruin your Evo with crap suspension.

Couldn't have said it any better. I'm selling my Fortune auto 500 Broadway Static Edition Coilovers with Swift springs, 14K F/R spring rates, radial bearing mounts, and front camber plates for $1,300 with less than 1,500 miles on it. PM if ur interested.
