Evo 8 STR 514

I wanted to know if anybody has ran str 514 rims on an evo 8. Im looking to buy a set in 17 x 9 +20. Also what tires and size would have a flush fitment. Right now I have a set of rota grids with some nice cracks in them thanks to NYC roads. The rotas are 18x9 +22 with falkens 245/40/18. The tires are slightly stretched. I want smaller rims to have a bigger sidewall in the hopes i wont have any new cracks. Yes, I do realize these are cheap rims but can't have a legit set on a dd car parked on the street every night. Any input would help, thanks.

The std aggressive fit up on the 17x9 is the 255/40 IMO

But at the +20 this is very aggressive. Depends on how much rear fender work has been done to get this to fit correctly running stock camber

No. Got XXR's 527 17x 8.25. If you don't want to use spacers then you need wheels with an offset in the low +20's. +22 will clear Brembo's but the Rota's I had were pretty close in the front, a 3 or 5mm spacer would've been more ideal. I bought +35 offset XXR's and that was a mistake. Ended up getting 2 pairs of 15mm Ichiba V2 spacers and they provided enough clearance. Ichiba spacers are hubcentric which was nice and I had hub ring adapters as well since the XXR hubs were bigger than the Evo's hub.
