Finally fitted my wide offset TE37s to the rear. Check it out

Ok guys this is for all of you who want to fit wider rims and tires to the rear of your evo. Previously my Te37s were different size for the front and rear. (call me silly whatever). My fronts were 22offset and 9J and rear was 30offset and 8.5J. The 22 offset has got a realli deep dish look that i like and u can fit bigger tires too. Unfortunately my car is pretty lowered too and the tires keep rubbing the guard when i put the 22offset at the rear. Well what i have done is panel beat the rear fender so now, i can fit the 22, 9J offset on the rear. So now ive got the same rims for the front and rear. This is one pic of my rims and tires not. Iam using 255/40 bridgestone tires now. Check out my profile if you want to take at look at more photos.

What size are the wheels and how well does the 8.5 with 30 offset fit. Is the car lowered and how much? I just got my bronze TE37s and there is a big debate on whether 29offset or 43offset is better. Mine are 19X8.5 with 29offset.

those look awesome, and seem to fit fine... do the fronts rub at full lock? I would LOVE to run some 17x9's in a 22 offset if they fit that well and didn't rub... are they 18's or 17's?

They are 17x9J, 22 offset with 255/40 tires. I lowered by 2 inches, not too much cos our humps and sloped carparks here are wicked... I usually run about 2 deg camber on the race track and have no problems.

I think your 29 offset should be cool. just dont u think 19inch is a bit excessive? haha just kidding... when its lowered, you need to be running 30 series tires?

These are 17's. Like i said, when lowered 2 inches, the rear fender rubs with the 22 offset. Originally before I panel beated the rear fender, I was running different size offset rims for the front and rear. My fronts were 22, 9J while the rear was 30, 8.5J. But now I can run the 22 offset all around. The front's not the problem and never rubs even at full lock cos our wheel arch there is big enough, its the rear that rubs on hard conering...

Wow, very unique. I love that look, and it's cool that your rims are white, not a very commonly used color for black. Nice job.

Thanks guys. really appreciate cos i went through some lengths getting this offset fitted. Ive always been envious how the bigger cars like skylines, supras, etc get to put such huge offsets on their cars...

Could you tell me exactly what you had to do to the rear fender to make the wheels fit? I have cusco zero2r coilovers so my ride height is totally adjustable, I would love to run 17x9 with 255/40 but I would like to know exactly how you get them to fit.

Thanks,
Jeff
