10mm wheel spacer and stock studs

I just picked up a new set of rims and i need to run a 10mm spacer up front to clear my calipers. Do you guys know if the stock wheel studs are ok to use with a 10mm spacer or do I need to run extended studs?

I wouldn't run that on stock studs.

IIRC something like a 3mm spacer is the max you could get away with on stuck studs. If you need to run a 10mm spacer they do make some bolt on types however I am not to keen on those albeit not from experience because they scare me.

Your best bet is to pick up a set of ARP extended studs and a slip on spacer. Installing extended studs are cake especially in the front and they are relatively inexpensive as well.

What wheels are you trying to fit?

spacers are not the most reliable thing. but if you must. get a set of balanced 10mm hub centric type adapters, you may be able to run just a 10mm spacer depending on the lug seat of the aftermarket wheels you are gong to run, mag seats will be able to go deeper into the wheel to get more threads but you really want to have the maximum amount of threads allowed to ensure the proper torque over time. what I would do is test fit them and see what you need. check where they would rub and also check how much thread is exposed. like the above said, an extended stud would be ideal but you really want the torque point to be as close to the hub.

i just experimented with 3 mm and 5 mm spacers. 5 mm has about 5 threads of engagement and is the max i would run. 10 mm would have maybe 2-3 threads at best. definitely disaster waiting to happen.

NO more than 5mm. If you need 10mm, I'd find some with studs on them.
