Loud Deep Hum at 25mph

Hey guys,

110k mile Evo IX and tires have 12k on them (S.drives)

Car is humming pretty badly at 25mph, while I know it doesn't translate over the internet well, it kinda sounds like a deep "Whomp, whomp, whomp" that is loudest at 25mph. and may have the slightest vibration as well (I can't feel it, but think it may be there)

Checked all tires for obvious abnormal wear and checked for bearing play with wheels off the ground and found no issues. Checked for rubbing on fender liners and found nothing. Also the car tracks beautifully with no perceived vibration at highway speeds.

Rotated tires and didn't hear/feel a difference, could this just be tire hum that's loud due to tire wear?

Sounds like youve done some investigating by checking the play in the bearings. Yeah, these issues are hard to diagnose over the net.

Wondering if the sound changes when youre in gear or coasting in neutral?

My summer tires (275/40) dont howl until about 40mph but its certainly not that loud

Load or gear does not change the sound one bit....either does braking, except to slow me down which makes the "whomp, whomp" noise get lower until I slow past ~15mph or so..

Sounds to me like a wheel bearing issue. I doubt its that loud if it's tire wear. Unless you're running some track tires on the street, which you're not.

I'm leaning that way as it seems to get a bit louder when turning the wheel to the left..sounds like it's coming from the right side both front and back, but front seems louder..

Maybe I'll switch out the wheels/tires from my Gvr4 to see if anything changes.

Mine was doing that and it was wheel bearing I changed both of them but when I jacked the car up and spun the tire one side was louder.
