RP02 - Lug Nuts???

RP02 - Lug Nuts???
I received my RP02s (17x9) Monday and had my stock tires put on them today. I got the wheels home, started pullin' off my OEM Enkeis...
The lug nuts don't directly fit. The washer under the nut is too wide - too much diameter for the holes in the RP02s.
I was a bit worried, pried one off with a little effort and then did a trial fitment w/o the mount, with the wheel flat on the floor. It's not the best seat in the world, not a solid hit which makes me wonder about proper centering, etc.
Well, I had my Victoracers from this weekends AX on the stock Enkeis and rain moving in - I HAD to try it. I got the two fronts swapped before I had to give up due to family/school events/schedules.
I was careful tightening and torquing (with torque wrench, thanks) each nut bit by bit in the star pattern in order to get the best center and seat. They seem solid with the few miles driven. I'm gonna go ahead and do the rears now.
But, I'm wondering if this is all a potential problem. It raises a number of questions.
1) Should I NOT use the stock nuts?
2) Can I use the stock nuts on the stock Enkeis w/o the washers?
3) Why did the wheel vendor (ACTIVE AND ADVERTISES ON THIS BOARD) not mention a need for lug nuts IF there is a need?
Love to hear from anyone who has insight/experience here. Thanks!

DO NOT use stock lug nuts on aftermarket rims. You should buy some lug nut/wheel locks that would fits your new rims, most likely cone shape seating will fit. Also 1.5 thread pitch should work with the Evo wheel bolts.
