what's the best trackable summer street tire?
I'm looking for a new set of rims to use on the street and a street tire I can DD and use as a backup on the track. I already have Advan R08 Neova's on it and I want to take these rims off to save them for the track only, so I want a more solid street tyre to drive around in on my street rims and if I take them on the track I don't have to worry about them melting.
Note: I don't want a semi slick, the Advans are good for that, I'm after a step back from that

There are always stickier track day tires, but for a streetable tire that can hold up to track day use, the Dunlop ZII Star Spec is hard to beat http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....Z2SS&tab=Sizes
If you want more grip and less mileage, then go with a set of Bridgestone RE71R http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....1RXL&tab=Sizes

You have several choices man. Pretty much any tire on TireRack in the "extreme performance" summer tire category will fir the bill. BFG Rival, Hankook RS3, Dunlop Z2, Bridgestone RE11 or RE71r, etc.
Only tire I would stay away from is the toyo R1R.
