coilover question

I have the fortune auto 500's on my evo and had a question.

I know its probably not the right way to do it but approximately how much camber would I be adding if I slid the plates negative two or more notches if im at -1.5 in the middle.

I know it will mess with my toe and it should be adjusted back to zero. I would like it close to -3 up front when I auto x and so I can slide it back to -1.5 (alignment set in the middle of the plate) and drive home and not worry about my tires.

I run the 510's & have the same camber plates. My C/o was all the way at the plate stop & my camber was -2.9 degrees. Lower bolts adjusted to max

Yes, the toe will be out of wack

Sorry, can not confirm that. I had the alignment done by the shop & I remember the tech telling me the lowers were maxed out & the upper plates were set to full negative camber

I have a couple comments and questions. If you are planning on adding additional negative camber from a performance perspective the change in toe is not going to be beneficial and may make your car a handful. Im trying to picture it in my head right now but pretty sure on our cars with the location of the tie rod being in the back as you dial in more negative camber it will toe the wheels in.

Either way i would not advice you to adjust camber without fixing the toe as well.

Also, surprised you were only able to achieve -2.9 degrees with it maxed out at top. Next time you pull off your wheels confirm that the lower bolt is arrow pointing outward.

Will do, my lower bolt may not be in the full camber position. Im not tracking at the moment & have re-set to street camber.

+1 on the toe issue w/the OP

EDIT: Heres the manual on the bolt locations

^Good find with that link. Every time I swap my suspension I think I remember then lose confidence bust out the laptop and search for that picture then realize I had it correct. But the more threads its linked in the easier it'll be for me to find next time Im pulling off my struts, lol.

I've tried my best to remember facing outward so guess for today Ill give myself a pat on the back

I adjust both camber and toe when I get to/before leaving the track. When I have the car aligned I have the shop set up the front for both alignments I want to run, and they tell me how many turns of the tie rod I need to do to bring the toe back to 0 when I adjust camber. It may seem like a lot of trouble but after doing it for a couple of years, it takes me maybe 10 minutes to do both camber and toe.
