PICS: Tein Flex Coilovers w/ EDFC

Well I installed my Tein Flex Coilovers and EDFC the other day. I've never installed suspension parts before, but with my friends help it was pretty easy.

I didnt think that the stock suspension could get much better. After this installation, I was proved wrong. The car rides nearly as soft as stock on the EDFC's stiffest setting but handles noticably better.

I installed my EDFC in the cubby inbetween the two front seats. Wiring the EDFC in to the suspension was EASY. Taking the dash and center console apart was cake - even for me. Just one year ago, I couldnt install my own intake.....

I set the coilovers to roughly 1.25 - 1.5" lower in the front and .75 - 1.00" lower in the rear. The car handles remarkably. Here are some pics:

you got it. I'll take a pic and post the mounted EDFC tommorrow.

Nabit - The stiffest EDFC setting is slightly stiffer than stock, but is daily drivable even on the toughest roads up here in NY. Just make sure your good at dodgeing the holes. If the stiffest setting is too stiff for your liking, the simple push of a button and 2 seconds later, you can have your car anywhere inbetween the stiffest setting to the softer than stock setting. The EDFC is IDEAL for daily driven lowered cars. I've had it on the road for 3 days now and I have probly switched the settings around at least 5 times depending on where I am going, the conditions of the road, and who is riding in my car (Girlfriend )

EDFC pics tommorrow

I don't know man. My TEINs on the stiffest is unbearable. Even at the medium setting which is 7 from stiffest, it's still pretty stiff. I had to get the car cornerbalanced and aligned for the car to feel better than stock.

Maybe its just me, but the Teins on the stiffest setting are not all that unbearable. You gotta realize tho, if your expecting a cushy ride, you have bought the wrong car. Try BMW. or at least dont mod your suspension.

The stock suspension in my opinion is absolutelly perfect and i would never pay a penny to change it. I got my Coilovers + EDFC, and ALL of my mods for that matter, in a trade for my 1993 Talon TSI. Had I not done the trade, I would have left the suspension stock. Stock suspension is the best you can get for a daily driver on bad roads. Very happy with my setup tho

looks really good...this is what I am wanting to do as well. Where did you run your lines through the firewall and rear if I might ask? Also would like to see pics of the EDFC installed.

Did you get an alignment afterwards?
