Does anyone know what is accomplished by starting the igntion prior to bleeding? The manual doesn't specifically state that it's to purge the ABS system. Does someone know with certainty this is what it's doing? If so, can someone explain in detail how this is accomplished by just turning the ignition on? Just trying to understand how the system works.

I just talked with one of the engineers at Motul and RBF600 is a DOT 4, so mixing will not be an issue. I hope to do the install this weekend. Will let you all know how it goes...

thanks for all the help.....
