Decisions Decisions... Tire Help Please

I am getting close to needing new tires for my EVO. I am still running stock wheels and want to but a good set of replacement tires. My choices are as follows... (info from Tire Rack)

Bridgestone Potenza S03 in stock size $187
BFG G-Force T/A KDW in stock size $149
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 in 245/40-17 $185 (Stock Size not available)
Stock Replacements $214

I really like the way the stock tires grip and their feel. I think they are good in the rain, good enough for a high performance tire, but I don't want worse wet performance. I think all of these tires would offer better treadwear than stock. The stockers are on the noisy side, but I don't really mind the noise, however I do not want a tire that is louder. All of these tires have very good ratings on TR's surveys. Will the PS2s fit without rubbing since they are 245s? My car is lowered on S-Techs. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.

the ps2s will fit no problem , i run a 245/45 series and have no problems, except that i would have liked to go with a 40 series.. But as far as the tires go i have the s-03's and i love them, a lil' less grippy than stock, have to work a lil' harder i guess, but they are so predictable, just like the advans, and they do very well in the rain too I felt more confident in the rain with these than i did with the advans.

This has been discussed many times before, and you forgot Falken Azenis Sport 245/45/17 for about $140 out the door mounted & balanced.

The Bridgestone has the UNI-T AQ II wet compound that really helps the wet grip throughout the life of the tire. The new PS-2 is also one of the best performers in its class at this time. You cant go wrong with either one of them

I've used the Falkens before, albeit not on an EVO, and I didn't like them. Which is why they're not on the list. And I'm sorry for not perfoming a more thorough search before posting.

Why didn't you like the Falkens? Were they the Azenis-215's?

They seemed to have a rather sharp transition from grip to slip and their turn in response wasn't everything I hoped for. Granted, the tire size could be the culprit with the trasnient response and the vehicle could be the reason for the turn in response, but I've tried them, wasn't totally satisfied, and until I have a wide variety of tire types that I've tried, I won't really know exactly what tire feels right for me. However, I can say that I like the stock Advans very much, so if I can get something with a feel close to them, with possibly better wear and wet charecteristics, I'd be a very happy man.

If you want sticky grip, go with the G-Force.
I recommend the Falken Azenis Sports, sticky and will last longer. I'm currently running Yoko Avs100, I love them. Good traction low road noise, good wear, good price

Now granted I wasn't clear that the tires I tried were the Azenis Sports, so now you know, the tire I don't want to try again right now is the Azenis Sport.

Thanks for your help neal and hell_if_ino. I will most likely go with the PS2s since I have heard many good things about them.
