How to repair brake caliper

My right side caliper accidentally got rubbed on the wheel and took off some of the red paint. I think its red paint. Or is it a rubber shell? In any case, short of replacing it, I was wondering how I can paint it to look new again. I hate seeing those scratches. Anyone have any ideas?

Just go to Brembo's website. Give them a call and tell them you need your calipers repainted. I got mine repainted in Brembo Gold with red Brembo logos when mine got scratched.

It may cost more than other ways of repainting calipers but it's worth it for the Brembo quality.

Cant speak for getting the whole caliper painted, but I had the same prob with my G-35 Brembos. They got a scratch and I called Brembo who said they dont sell thouch-up paint. I ended up finding a Honda color that was identical to my calipers and used that.

I touched mine up with G2 caliper paint in red.( not a perfect match) Then I applied Duplicolor import auto spray in milano red. I sprayed it into a paper cup and then used a small art brush to do the color matching. Looks perfect!

Great paint system. I've done three of my cars with that already and it works great. You do get a lot of paint with it, so maybe you could touch-up the Brembos and use the rest for another car of yours.

truth is that any paint or decal will burn off if you use heavy breaking. If you dont do any track days you should be ok. I have been on the track and my calipers are no longer bright red, they are a maroon color now. All heavily driven track cars have this same sign of heat.
