Does anyone know if there is any tire rub with Volk GTU's 18x9 et 29mm with 235/40/18 tires lowered on Tein S-Tech Springs?

I have 18 X 8.5 CE-28N's on my car with S-Tech's and have no rubbing issues. I have a 235/40 Kumho MX's on them. I had 245/40's and it rubbed before I lowered it when making sharp turns. After lowering it, it would only rub when turning sharp and hitting dips in the road.

I have a buddy with 18 X 9's with a 255/35 and he doesn't rub. He's not lowered yet, but he doesn't have any rubbing when turning like I did.
