Storage of Mounted Tires
I've just bought a set of stock rims and tires that someone had removed from a new Evo. I plan on installing these tires onto my car tomorrow. The tires that are currently on my car are pretty well worn, but I want to keep them around incase I decide I want to go out and fool around. What is the best procedure for storing mounted tires? Should I wrap them? Should I stack them or hang them from the wall? Should I increase or decrease the pressure? Should I treat them with something?
P.S. I did a search and the only post I found dealt with dismounted tires and even then it didn't really have any useful info.
Best wishes,

Its best to leave them inflated to stock pressures to start. If possible, store them enclosed in plastic bags, away from electrical appliances (they create atmosphere and that's what brakes tires down), and in the corner of the basement. A basement keeps the best average temperature and rarely fluctuates. A garage would be the next best place. Stacking them is fine. Remember that tires naturally lose one pound of air per month. So before driving on your stored wheels/tires, CHECK THE AIR PRESSURE.
