why do the sw gauges cost more? are they more precise? I read the other thread but might have missed it because i was looking for pictures.

There's no difference in precision between the two brands of gauges. The real difference between the two is the look. the VDOs offer a more subtle OEM look while the SW's offer a more modern sport-compact / tuner look. One advantage to the SWs is that they have a built in lighting diffuser which spreads the light out very well. They light up bright with any of our LEDs. Also, SW offers many gauges that VDO does not - such as AFR, Fuel Pressure, 2200 EGT, Metric units, etc. They also offer them in black face / silver bezel, silver/silver, and white face, black bezel.

You need to relocate your radio to below the A/C controls with a radio relocation kit OR you can mount the gauges below the A/C controls with a radio relocation kit!
