One thing to note... Look at the cylinder pairing of the Maxford, 1-4 (ouside cylinders) are combined into the front turbo inlet. This is reversed from the stock cast mani configuration. Now look at the GT spec pic.
The GT-spec gets it right, 1-4 cylinders combine into the back turbo inlet (presumably at the expense of equal length runners)
I don't know if it matters, I was tipped of by Full race Geoff a while ago but I ended up buying the Maxford.
My personal feeling is as long as you make it out of 304ss you might as well go cheap and assume it's temporary.
Most nice domestically 321ss fabricated manis run about 1k, I can't imagine it's any more or less work to make it for the the stocker or for another turbo, just no one is willing to shell out cash to keep the stock turbo with a nice mani.
