No, you can't just bring one from Canada. Same process as bringing one from Japan. As far as I know, Canada does not have an authorized importer of the Skyline either. If you go grey market, you can't legally drive it on the street. It can be a trailer queen for track days but thats about it. If you get pulled over and the cop is savvy, he can hook your ride and you can pay out the **** in fines to get it out of inpound.

Pretty much all of Motorex's employees have quit and they've pretty much shut down their GT-R related operations from what I heard down the grapevine. Their location in Gardena has more or less been taken over by C-West.
Now, as for the GT-R, you can't just bring over a car and register it. It doesn't work that way. There are some shady individuals who do some shady **** with GT-Rs and S14/S15s in the Gardena, CA and the San Gabriel Valley, but good luck trying to talk your way out of things when the one-time pulls your *** over, let alone trying to register a car without a VIN #, a proper title and emissions certifications. Getting back to the po-po, being RHD is an instant tip-off that the car is "different."
In order for a car to be federalized and receive a VIN, it has to go through a number of modifications to the car lighting, dash, chassis reinforcement and emissions. And this has to be done through a federally licensed company like G&K in Santa Ana, CA. Of course, only Motorex has the information on what these modifications are. Once modifications and emissions requirements are met through the proper channels, will the DOT issue a VIN and CARB issue emissions certifications, both of which is required for vehicle registration in California at the least. But even before all this happens, the US Customs Department requires a bond to be paid for the car upon arrival in the United States before the car is even released.
A few of the homies have GT-Rs... a couple of R32s... and R33s. Fast *** cars, but eh... I'm over it. One of them is selling his R33 GT-R, output about 700bhp. I believe his asking price is $65,000.
