Sorry Fighter's Garage...had to make it a little shorter!
Afterwards, we grinded them smooth/straight with a belt sander
The coupler supplied with the intercooler came in handy putting
the two pipes back together

Why did you have to cut up the LICP?

It's the Fighter's Garage LICP, we had to "shorten" it to make it work. I'll be tossing it as soon as I get a new one.

ryan,
1. is the licp the same as provided in your turbo kit and did you get
performance feedback from anyone who got any of your kits as well race core?
2. do you think there will be much difference in installation of the race core on an evo
7?
thanks.

So does the race fmic fit the crash beam and bumper without any mods? I'm not into cutting stuff up or leaving things off. I guess I should've asked that today before I ordered mine. I'm not running the under tray as of now, but would like to put it back on cause it gets my enhine bay all dirty. That is the only thing I don't mind cutting on though.

I'm sure everything fits great with the stock or RnR piping. I'll be getting the RnR LICP to show this. Also, I belive the crash beam will fit back on and no cutting of the metal parts on the bumper would be involved as long as you don't have the Injen UICP. It's a tight fit with the Injen pipes, I'll probably be getting the RnR UICP as well...later.

Whew....thanks for lettting me know. I thought I read it that it fit and then seen you post and your pics without the crash beam and got worried. I look forward to getting mine in the mail next week. Hopefully it will bo polished up and mounted on the car after next weekend.

tke_413....so what are you first impressions of the core? Did you notice any power from the butt dyno or anyhting? I'm doing the FMIC, 10.5 hotside, and when money allows get a lower ic pipe as well. Than I have to leave my car alone for a while.

First impressions were great...but I'm still having troubles with the LICP sealing. The day after the install I took it out and did some pulls, it definately felt stronger, but it keeps blowing the LICP off. I either need one that fits correctly, or stronger clamps. My wideband shows a leak when I boost, so I'm taking it easy until my RnR pipe gets here. As soon as it does I'll do another show n tell. We were supposed to go to the track this Saturday...but it doesn't look like the pipe will be here by then.

I'm having trouble where the pipe had to be cut and held back together with a coupler. Without having a bead around the edge (giving something for the clamps to grab)...they keep pulling apart. I just did that so I could drive the car, hopefully I can get the new pipe here quick to fix the problem and get back out to the track.
