You guys won't have to live with this at all. I'm re-adjusting the mounting points for the HU. I'll be able to have it sit a little further back and more flush with the trim. I believe i'll even be able to use the trim ring that was included with the HU.
This will be addressed in our 2-DIN install tutorial and hopefully on an install review on evoM.

All PM's responded to.
As for brackets, I don't believe we will be including brackets with the kit. Believe it or not, i'm using the OEM brackets on my 2-DIN LCD HU. I'll talk to my installer to see what pricing would be for brackets. If it's reasonable, i'll include them exclusively for evoM members for free.

FWIW the stock single din radio brackets hold my Pioneer AvicZ1 in just fine. It sits right where looks like it should (comparing it to how the mount goes on my stock radio). New brackets shouldn't be necessary. And the brackets seem to hold the Z1 well, and thats about as heavy of a HU that I could think of..
Hope to get it soon Rich.

Wow great pictures, Rich. Can't wait. >.<
Oh and about my shipping arrangement. My school gave me a forwarding form so it should be sent to my house once it gets to my school. =P
