Get your suspension first, then your wheel/tire package . . .

Unless you have the rest of the car sorted and are looking for that last tenth of a second at the dragstrip or that last second off your lap times don't even waste your time thinking about these wheels . . . I would never use them as a daily driver street wheel.

Two thought really - first is as you guessed, questionable strength/durability. Not necessarily poor strength, just questionable as there are not enough people with experience on these wheels. My thinking is that there are probably a few compromises made to get these as light as they are. I could be wrong, though. There could be extensive FEA and real world testing done that allows extreme light weight with extreme strength. Unless someone can get some data direct from Buddy Club I think it will just take more experience to see how strong they are.
The second reason has to do with fitment. It has to do with what size tires you are running, as well as backspacing. If you are stretching some 245's on these and running some spacers I don't see why they could not be made to fit if you were willing to compromise on other areas (tires, spacers).
For a better answer of if they will fit with stock shocks I would look to the tire/wheel section. If other guys are running 18x9.5 or 18x10 with stock shocks then I am sure these could be made to fit. Just copy their setup. . .
