So to clarify just a bit,

were these two runs on the stock mivec map or a tuned mivec map (with no changes to the map between both sets of cams?)

If the answer is yes, then I would imagine the reason the "un tuned" results are only showing gains down low would be due to the cams being over advanced, or needing more lsa adjustment once you get out of the low and mid range.

The stage 1 cams are smaller than the cossi mx-1 and I do not think they are 11.3 lift:

yup they are only 10mm lift on the stage 1.

The big boys (214-B) is a bigger grind than the mx-1.

Stage 1 is only a 10mm lift on intake and 9.35mm on exhaust.

Stage 2's are 11mm lift on intake and 10.5mm on exhaust. Stage 2's also require springs which are included in the price of the cam.

Very impressive cams. Guys over in Britain were able to squeeze out close to 390with stage 1's before they run out of air. Not sure what mods the car had, I will try to find this. Im eager to see what this test does.

The tune for both of these runs was the same. The Mivec map was a tuned map. I am confident that with tuning and some more boost the car will make 390-400whp. Once the tuning is done I will post the results.

We put the car back on the dyno again today. We made 404whp/362ft-lbs @24psi. As you can see in the graph the cams picked up everywhere with the biggest gains coming in the midrange. On the street the car feels really strong and pulls hard all the way to redline. I overlayed the old graph of the car without cams@24psi with the new graph of the car with the Kelford cams@24psi for a comparison.

Damn, i need to get myself some cams! Now, i hardly know anything about the X cams (compared to my VIII.. lol that was easy) If i'm looking for most power or an 272/272 equivalent for the X compare to the VIII... which cams should i go for? Cosworth? Kelsworth? should i get the 264/252s or the 270/260s... which will net more hp even if i do have to change springs that's fine... thx in advance guys! ETS 35r kit being installed as I type... yay

The first dyno graph posted was the car @22psi. The second graph posted was the car @24psi. I posted the first graph to show the gains from just swapping the cams. The second graph is the car without cams fully tuned @24psi vs. the car with cams fully tuned @24psi.
