Evo X Kelford Stage 1 Cam Test

We finally got the Kelford stage 1 cams in our Evo X. With the boost set to 22psi the car made 357whp/319ft-lbs on the stock cams. With the addition of the cams and no tuning the car made 356whp/344ft-lbs. We will be tuning the car over the next few days so we will keep you guys updated. I will update the thread with the final numbers as soon as we are done tuning. With some more tuning and boost we are confident that the car should pick up a lot more. We will be doing a special this month for the cams installed. The price will be $1350. Here is the dyno sheet:

Update Post #21 on page 2 shows the gains of the cams after it was fully tuned.

Nice TQ & low-end gains. From the looks of the graphs, can we deduce that the stage-one cams are actually less aggressive than stock??

You may wanna wait til the tune the car for the Kelford cams before deducing that.

Nope, I'm sure they're fairly aggressive, I think the intake cam has like 11.3mm of lift!

Can't wait to see the retune numbers!

Should be a good rally set of cams for the 34mm restrictor.

Judging by how they sound at idle, I think they are definitely more aggressive then stock. Once we are done tuning I am fairly confident that the car is going to make a lot more power. There is still a lot left on the table in terms of boost and timing.

Nice. Looking forward to seeing the results of the tune. I just thought that usually cams will trade you some low-end torque for upper end HP. If you're seeing an increase across the board, that's awesome.

This is a common misconception, and often not true on evos with 'mild' cam upgrades like these.
