FP Red 411whp/365wtq DG Tuned!

We had the pleasure of taking on a beautiful Evo X GSR this week for some big work. Let me start off by saying the customer had everything needed for all the installations. All gaskets, parts, and fluids were provided which made everything go nice and smooth. Now onto the parts/dyno sheets/video!

Mods:

FP Red Turbo (ported)
Cosworth MX1 Cams
Hks Waste Gate Actuator
Hks Turbo Outlet Pipe
Hks IC
Hks Upper and Lower IC Piping
Hks Intake
Hks Recirculated bov
Ultimate Racing o2 Eliminator Down pipe
Hks Test-Pipe
Hks High Power Dual Catback
255 Fuel Pump
800 C.C Injectors
Ams Fuel Rail
S.S Fuel Lines
Hks Evc
Act Clutch/Flywheel
Works Shifter Bushings

Tune Software:

Ecuflash
Evoscan

Tuner:

Charlie
Pete

All tuning done on 93octane/pump gas

VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMs6Vx7jwZU

The right Part combination and the right tune makes consistent and great results. This evo x not only beat our evo x by a few whp but it is also the highest whp evo x we have tuned on our dyno. The car is absolutely a blast to drive reaching full spool by 4,300 rpm and making over 400whp to 7,000rpm. The torque curve is also nice and smooth and boost spikes 26.5psi then slowly tapers to 24psi at 7,000rpm with this ported fp red turbo and hks waste gate actuator.

Thats a nice tune.
Those cams seem very wild. Does it idle any better than that. Wow 93 octane. I just noticed that.

Thank You very much. I personally wrenched this car myself the past 2 days non-stop to have it ready for pick up tomorrow. I take work very personal. When we have a big job or any job, I have no problem staying till 12:00 a.m to have it prepared and gone through thoroughly to insure there will be absolutely no issues for pick up. Every vaccuum line is zip tied, every T-bolt is inline with the other on the intake pipes. I take great pride in my work...

Yes, We can make these cams idle like stock. I personally like a little lope. If the customer asks for a smooth idle it is not a problem

Actually if I remember correctly, duty cycles were around 85-90%. Could have pushed a little more but this is a daily driven car. Stock bottom end etc. This is the highest whp evo x on our dyno and the customer was talking about doing a stroker motor within the next month or 2.

Great numbers! What would this car do on the quarter? I am thinking fp red by next year sounds like a great turbo....

Well on the dyno is one thing. You basically feel how the car comes on more by hearing/feeling how it revs up. You do not really get a feel for power on the dyno by actual force.

We do not go and simulate 1-4 gear pulls on the road. Some light cruising to dial in any drive-ability and 1 or 2 3rd gear pulls to view a few logs to see if anything changes from being on the dyno. The car does feel absolutely sick though!

Other than that all your hard work/time/effort for the past few days and you hand the keys over and let the customer have all the fun!

This is a full weight Evo X GSR. Depending on driver I would say mid 11's should not be too difficult at all.

Awesome results, but what else can you expect with the right parts and the right shop?

What kind of spark plugs were used? Stockers?

You can expect great results and little to no issues during tuning when you have the right parts and right shop Granted you will have problems here and there but an honest shop with honest employees will always go above and beyond to make things right.

These are the same stock plugs that came in the car from the factory with over 10,000 miles on them. Same gap etc everything. They have never been out of the car.

We have never had a break up/mis-fire with the stock plugs/coils up to 30psi so far.

The stock ignition system/plugs are proving to work flawlessly so far.
