Brian's Evo X Tuned at AWD Motorsports!!

Brian had some unfortunate luck with his car over the past few months. After getting a few minor bolt ons and a custom tune at another shop, Brian's car ending up blowing the bottom end. After managing to get the motor covered under warranty, Brian got word of our shop and decided to bring it by to have us look over the car, and freshen up the tune. After a quick tour of the shop, seeing the multiple 700+ hp evo's in the shop, Brian could see he came to the right place.

Brian's car came in with the following mods:
HKS Catback
HKS Downpipe
HkS Intake

We quickly installed a boost controller and got the tuning under way. After looking over the mapping in the ecu, and being unimpressed to say the least, I opted out of making a baseline pull on his previous mapping. It is always nice to have a baseline pull to work against, but in a car that may or may not have lost the motor due to bad tuning, i dont feel its worth the risk.

After a few pulls, fine tuning the fuel, mivec and timing maps, i could feel that something was holding us back. Something just didnt feel right to me. So i decided to peak my head under the car and sure enough, STOCK CAT.

We got the car back off the dyno and quickly swapped it out for an ETS TestPipe. I left the mapping alone to see the difference it would make, and as expected, the gains were huge....

After reviewing the log from that pull, i was very happy with the tune and decided to leave it there. Brian decided it would be better to leave room on the table just to be safe. Based on the very excited phone call we received today, I think it was enough power for him....

Question for ya since I most likely will be tuning my car with you in the coming months:

These graphs show a huge difference between stock CAT and straight though test pipe. Where do you think a highflow Cat will land, power wise?
I love my exhaust and dont plan on changing it any time soon, but it came with a high flow cat and am curious as to what you think or experienced with cars with high flow cats.

Thanks in advance
