It looks like one cylinder went lean causing the piston to fail. The cause of that one cylinder going lean is still being looked at but we are taking the appropriate steps to find out.

but on to the good news...

As of 3:37pm I talked to Ivan and testing went great. She took everything ryan had to throw at her on the track. the car is on its way back for an oil change then she is getting cut loose to Ryan for all sorts of track debauchery.

So did the piston just go or did another hole in the block occur? Just curious how much had to be redone on the motor...

The block was fine, just the piston went. Off the top of my head I am not sure what cylinder went.

When you're making 740awhp, **** happens. That's racing.

Glad to hear it's back up and running. Also curious to know if it was #4, as my #4 on my mild setup EVO X seems to run a bit lower compression test # than the other 3.

Maybe that injector spazzed out and locked up?
