Winter time is the best time to build...!

Great results -- these FP Turbos are pretty darn impressive!

Just chill out for the time being on what you've got right now bro. Save up money untill spring comes around and then make a decision.

I don't believe a built motor is a pre-requisite for this turbo. I am eyeing one for myself and don't foresee a need for built motor.

yeah I should have clarified the fuel part, I just plan to do standard bolt-ons on 93 octane. So I cant possibly see why you'd need built motor. Not looking to push the black to it's very limit (which I am sure is high)

well.... 390 wtq is close to that boom boom range. If we pushed to 28psi and more aggressive timing, we'd be way too high on tq and a rod would go flying at some point. I'm going to build the motor at some point, even for just 93. Maybe 100 at the track, who knows.

450 on a mustang at 26psi is really good stuff. You can probably run it on the stock block for a long time without any problems.

I have an fp black and don't have the time to get my motor built for a couple months. Would it be ok to run it on the stock block for a while? Or is this very risky?

i'm still on the stock block, though I've only put on maybe 2k miles, half at the track. I am also dropping it off at cobb for the build in a few weeks....

If you know you're going to build soon, its a waste of $ to pay labor for a turbo swap now, when they'll do it free when they pull your motor.
