^ I think it would be insane to think any turbo will last anywhere near 100k miles, even the engine would most probably need a freshen up before then.

Uhh, I think it would be pretty pathetic if a basic bolt-on Evo couldn't last to only 100k miles. Maybe an aftermarket turbo like this might not make it, but if the engine didn't that is pretty bad. Even still I see no reason why this turbo wouldn't last a long time.

Go into the 1-9 section, I'm pretty sure you'll find a few who've made it well over 100k without any type of rebuild, and I'll be the majority of them have atleast bolt-ons.

Just trying to gather information that may be valuable for the long run.

Do you see this turbo/engine lasting over 100k miles, if used as primarily a street car/DD?
My update is that there is nothing to update
The car is running flawlessly and everything seems to be working perfectly. No slipping from the stock clutch yet [knocks on wood], and it's taken some pretty hard shifts.

With 29k miles already on my car I would be seriously disappointed if the engine, transmission, turbo, etc. don't make it well past 100k miles. Between now and then I expect the car to need nothing more than regular maintenance and wear items.

^I use to Can't afford to right now though, paying off motor builds lol.

I put most of those miles on the car in its 1st year and a half, then like 10k in the last 1.5 years.

Everyone considering modding their cars should read this and take heed. I hear so many people here say "cams, for sure!" but it's not "for sure" unless the person who will drive the car every day is willing to put up with the consequences. After reading "cams, for sure!" 20 times here at EvoM I might have really started believing it would be right for me (I do love the lopey rally car sound when watching videos) but then I read this by someone who's been there and done that a few times and I start thinking ... what can I do SHORT of cams?

Thanks for all you do, Kracka, you may have saved me from making the same mistake.
