However, at an autox power down low helps a lot. If you have an MR that can shift in the blink of an eye by itself, then 500-1000 rpm more lag isn't that big of a deal. But with a GSR going down to 1st at a really tight corner will typically waste more time than dealing with the lag. But if you have power down there then you get out of the corner even faster...

Kracka what kinda clutch are you running in your car? I am looking at doing a similar setup to yours but I am undecided on a clutch still, thinking about the act 6 puck sprung. I will be driving it daily for a little bit but after a few months it will be mainly just coming out to play on nights and weekends. The ultimate plan is for it to be used road racing.

I believe he is on the stock clutch, but I guess wait for him to chime in.
Don't get the ACT sprung 6 puck unless you are making some good torque. I run one but am making well over 450wtq. I have drove it daily with it before but its not worth it if you don't need it. Not horrible but there are others that will do the job that drive like stock.

He is running stock clutches and stock cams. He wont change his mind on getting cams but its his baby he is titled to do whatever the f**k he wants to His setup is already pure sex, cant image with cams. He has very valid points on not getting cams and I respect that.

Stock clutch, singular
Stick will a full face disc, there is no reason to go with a puck clutch on this turbo. I'm now past 30k miles on the stock clutch with [knock on wood] no signs of any slippage yet. I have decided that when/if it does need replacement I'm going to stick with a basic organic full face single disc such as the Exedy Stage 1, Competition HD Street, Spec Stage 1, or WORKS CK1. My goal for this car, as it has been all along, is to maintain it's integrity as a smooth daily-driver that I, or anyone else, can comfortably sit in traffic with. I have zero issue letting my wife or mother drive it and the plan is to keep it that way. Basically, I'm trying to avoid the mistakes I made with my IX.
