Do you feel the Cobb BPV, or any upgraded BPV/BOV is necessary with the setup?

Necessary? No. Recommended? Probably. I figured I may as well buy anything that could be needed to make sure the setup was efficient as possible.

These were my thoughts. I read the Cobb BPV experiences the least amount of fluttering/issues. I really don't want to deal with any of that; from the looks of it you're basically having no issues.

Scheides has it too and I believe he's having good luck with it as well.

Indeed! Well worth it on an aftermarket turbo setup and high boost!

This is my car, swapping from a very crushed stock BOV to the Cobb (my wife surprised me with this for my b-day, she wins!):

No other changes. Again not essential but one of 'the little things' that make a good combo great!

I gave the car an absolute thrashing today and...

...what a fantastic turbo! The turbo and car took every mile in stride; I can't even count how many times I wound it out past 7k RPM through the gears! I honestly have zero bad to say about this entire setup, mile after mile the car just took it, even the stock clutch and stock brakes (>30k miles on them) did nothing but get grabbier the more heat I put in them. I did get the service brakes warning light a few times during hard corners/acceleration, but that's because the fluid level has dropped as the pads have worn.

Excellent to hear Kracka! This is exactly the kind of stuff I want to hear before I make a $5k purchase in mods

Was this done on the track, or were you just letting her rip on the streets?

Glad to hear your stock clutch is still holding up, I would really hope to atleast get 10k miles or more out of it on this setup

Still rockin' it, still lovin' it! It's a great turbo and I honestly have nothing but good things to say about it. I drove a stock turbo X GSR last night and wow is the EF2X a dramatic difference both in performance and sound!

After rocking the ef2 for about 2 weeks, it really is amazing. The cams and ef2 combo is brutal after 3k range. Turbo wants to go more even when you are at 7k and with cams i can hit 8200 with ease but dont go that far, except twice.

EF2 has made my top 3 BEST BUYs for sure. Eibach pro kit, whiteline F and R sways and EF2.

Agreed! perfect for the track as well, I love it when a Lambo guy or Corvette guy comes up to me a says. " what the hell is done to that little car!!" I dont say anything about the EF2, I just tell them aftermarket exhaust. LOL
