2010 Evo X GSR - Stock Turbo/Pump Gas - Moore Automotive Tuned - 408/397

2010 Evo X GSR
Fuel: 93 Octane
Mods: Moore Automotive 3.5" Velocity Stock Intake
AMS Upper and Lower Piping
AMS Intercooler
MAP Open Dump Downpipe
3" Custom Test Pipe and Straight-Pipe Exhaust
Kelford 214-C Cams
GSC Valve Springs with Ti Retainers
Tial QR Blow Off Valve
Pierburg 3-Port EBCS

The graph has a comparison to the owner's previous 2008 GSR that had similar bolt ons, but with AMS TMP cams and a recirculating dump downpipe. I've been waiting a while for someone to finally go with our 214-C and open dump combo idea. I knew 400 on pump gas would be possible on the stock turbo with this setup, and it definitely is. Hopefully a few more people will be open to doing this combo so I can get some back up results.

I don't think an exhaust manifold would add anything to this setup, I think flow wise it's probably tapped out but I could be wrong. You'd need race gas (with more timing) or more static compression to add to this.

i do understand what youre saying about the timing......but on the other hand the stock turbo really comes out of breath pass lets say 6500rpm.....and the peak power is before that!! im pretty sure an exhaust manifold would help a bit......bolt-on without any tuning my MAP short runner gave me 27whp(virtual dyno) on my fp red....that stock manifold is pretty restrictive :-p

This is what I am running this year, going from my 6266 t4 twinscroll setup to max everything stock turbo lol. Running half the HP will be weird but should be a fun little powerband. I hope to make 420whp or so with e85 and my 10:1 2.2L motor.

Whoah! Nice numbers. Didn't think 400WHP was attainable to easily!

I hope so, I doubt it though. I think you are overestimating the potential of the stock turbo, but I will find out for sure.

I wouldn't call it easy, it takes the right setup and good pump gas and a solid tune.

Wow that's a huge difference between the TMP and C cams. How is the drivability between the two?
