My full bolt on cobb stage 3/ map protune results

I figured I would share since I couldn't find much info when I was looking for dyno results.

mods:

2014 gsr 1900 miles

ets intake
ets recirc downpipe
ets test pipe
ets extreme v2 CB
ets uicp/licp
Cobb 3 port
Cobb AP
Synapse BPV

I got tuned last Saturday. I got a baseline on the Cobb stage 3 93 oct map.337/338.He leaned out map but very little and also added 2 degrees timing if I remember correctly.final numbers where 343/356 although second run was 362wtq, I think by 6th run the car was getting heat soaked.

overall very happy with car.The cobb map is very close I would say.obviously conservative but close enough.part throttle does seems smoother after protune.

Tuning was done by Nate at TPG tuning, Blairsville ,PA .Highly recommended.

My goal is 400whp.I'm torn on e85 vs mhi 18k or similar. Either way next upgrade coming up is ETS intercooler. Not decided on size yet. If any of you want to chime in my 400whp goal feel free.

I'm assuming you'll be doing injectors and fuel pump so I'd say with the upgraded intercooler and e85 you should be right on the doorstep of your goal. I'm also assuming a clutch unless I missed that somewhere above.

Yes ID 1000's are already scoped out along with pump. Im hoping on keeping the stock clutch for as long as possible.I DD this thing ive done a total of 2 launches on it when it was bone stock and don't plan on doing any more any time soon.

E85 would be the much cheaper route. Do you seasonal mix changes in E85 in PA? That has been my concern in the Midwest.

As an example, MN sees the following:
Spring ~E75/80, Summer E85, Fall ~E75/80, and Winter E70

So I went with the MHI and it's been great. I understand there are some flex fuel options in development, but not out for 2012+ X's.

The fuel changes to e70 for the winter, so if i did go e85 i would have dual map and just run 93 during winter, although people say e70 does not affect their tune much.the car does sit in a garage overnight.E85 is only 1 mile away from my work but out of my way and in a very high traffic intersection, i could see getting agrivated dealing with this.I know it would be cheaper to just do e85 but im willing to pay extra for convinience and also when it comes to e85 and stock turbo you need to be careful with the torque.

I dunno what im doing yet, ordering IC, injectirs and fuel pumpsoon, then i might go for an e85 map just for the hell off it.I will probably end up going mhi 18k in the end though.

If you're just wanting to hit a number and not really use the actual power that much then the stock clutch may be okay for a little bit. I personally don't get going to all that expense and time and not really being able to use the power, but everyone has their own thing they're wanting so to each their own.
I'd suggest doing the intercooler and fuel mods then seeing what you get out of it on 93 octane and how your clutch holds up for a bit before jumping into the e85 fray.
That's just my thoughts though so good luck with whatever you decide.

As a daily driver 400whp is useable for people that just want some quick high way runs with no launching.there are people that have pushed stock clutch at 400whp at the track.I have taken mine at the drag strip when it was stock but don't plan on doing clutch until maybe next year so I will just stay off the track till then now that I have more power.I might actually go this staurday but if I do I will take the launch very easy.

And I would like to add. This is on a mustang dyno if Nate is still using the same shop. He tuned my 1g talon on 93 octane and we made great power. If you are making that kind of power with just the bolt on you listed then WOW Now we need a dyno sheet to see where and when the power is being made.

if you are thinking of upgrading turbo down the line i would get the ID 1300 so you don't have to change those again. I had the 1000s and had to upgrade to the 1300 when i went E85 after upgrading the turbo. My goal was 400 WHP once too and now I'm 410wtq/505whp and still want more.....In my experience by the part for one level of power above what you think you will want and you will save money in the long run.

Only one I could find on tpg's fb page.I guess this was the first two runs so these are not the final numbers.

These cars respond to mods amazingly well, I had a hard time believing my self.Nate deffinitly knows what he is doing so im glad I got someone semi local to me that will take care off my tuning needs!

500awhp?that has to feel awesome!how many miles have you been running that setup?

Edit:yes this is still mustang dyno

Sweet results. I'm planning on the same upgrade path. ETS makes some serious gear. Glad to see the mods will pay off so well. Just wish I could get E85 where I live. I've been in contact with the local Sheetz trying to get them to add E85 at their pumps. Out here in the sticks we don't have many people wanting to run Ethanol. In fact, I'm the only Evo X owner I know of within 20-50 miles. There's one guy who has a IX, but it's bone stock.
