Does the nav system in the X only have red and white plugs hookups?

Ive got an 08 Lancer with Nav and and Sun and Sound and there is red white and yellow in the cubbie underneath the Nav display.

As for external monitors, etc., the visual display will turn off if you begin to move and is tracked by the GPS so good luck with having a backup camera.

hey the backup camera works fine, when you do the install, it will update the Nav and place a backup camera icon to use. seems the system is preinstalled with backup capabilites just not setup on the lancer /EVO.

A few ran into this when the 08 Lancers came out. The Lancers that came with the Nav preinstalled had all three composite inputs (video,L/R audio) while the ones that had it installed at the dealership only came with the two composite inputs (L/R audio). I would think there would be a way to add the video input.

There is a service menu on the Nav unit that may be of use when testing connections. Hold down SET and NAVI buttons for a few seconds.

Thanks. This is great news. I was worried the reverse switch would not be added to the Evo's manual transmission shift knob. Can't wait for the weather to warm up for this install.

I'm not exactly sure where the sensor is, but you can test it through the Nav service menu.

So are we certain this will work with the Evo X GSR? Or an educated guess (No harm intended)? I know that another memebr has hooked one up to the Evo X, but no mention of the functionality.
