Quick question. On my bro's GTS it is not working. We get this message:

Selecting [next] will write the authentication code in the version up key and the key will become available only with this system. We hit next but we get this message: "VERSION UP KEY WHICH CAME WITH THE MAP DISK CANNOT BE DETECTED. CHECK IF THE KEY IS INSERTED CORRECTLY"

Any ideas as to what the problem is???

Can someone please post the link to the definitive file for evo x MR? Is there now one universal file or is it still program version dependent?
Just burn ISO image and put it in system? No other commands,buttons to push?

Can the MR be different? I don't get any info when i push nav/set and touch the info button! Has anyone done this on a MR?

I just figured out I need to hold down nav/set butoons for 3 seconds to get the right screen.
I have loader 261um and 30.97, so it is not the same (others are 30.94)!
No luck. Burnt using Iso recorder and image burn programs on CD-R 4x on 2 different computers. When I put disc in says checking disc and then the message disappears and that's it: nothing more. No message behind any screens, etc
Any ideas?

I think this guy is using the Bypass switch not your CD file. I could be wrong , If you want I will email him and see if this is a file or mechanical switch.

I just got an MR yesterday and I have 261UM and 30.97 too.

I will be away on a trip for 2-3 weeks. I can do it after that or may be some one else with a MR can do it earlier. (I hope!)
