Clarion Audio Install! & Ricey or Not Question...
I just got my trunk done a couple days ago from a local shop (Aspen Sound) & am considering getting some neon. Neon is not really my thing, but I will be going to a local car show & am wondering if it's worth the $100 for the neon & labor, just to make the the Mitsu symbol glow underneath. I wouldn't remove it after the show, because to me, most of the $ & labor would have been a waste for 1 day.
So is this too ricey for you guys (blue neon under carpeted Mitsu logo on same level as amp & will turn on when the trunk opens)? Opinions & comments please!

It's all nice & crisp! I have 4 4-way coaxial Clarion speakers up front, which are way nicer than stock. The silicone in the sub enclosure has to get rechecked, so I haven't been able to bump the bass, but I got my friend the exact same sub & amp a few months ago & it hits hard on the deep bass & is really accurate. Sub is 500 RMS & 1000 Max. Amp is 1500 watts RMS x 1 into 2 ohms

I see now.... It took me awhile of staring at it to figure it out... I would have thought if you were going to do neons, that you would make the logo the cut out and not of the carpet... Seeing that, I dont know if I would put neons behind it now... Might look a little odd... IMO

I think it looks tight. If it was me, I would take off the black panels and carpet them the same as everything else. Cut openings for the little doors. If you must add neon, yes use blue....and keep it low key. It will show up just fine at night and you wouldn't see so much during the day anyways. I voted NOT.
What kind of head unit do you have? I can't wait to tackle my mine (with the nav unit). Having the battery 1 foot from the trunk makes me smile I have a post somewhere on here on how to drill a zero gauge hole though the VIII firewall...

^ Thanks for the feedback. I will for sure not be getting neon now, since the money for that will now have to go to a new sub... I blew out the one in the pic a couple days ago
The head unit is a single-din JVC Arsenal KD-AR8500 ( http://support.jvc.com/consumer/prod...2&archive=true )
The unit is really nice, especially for a single din w/o a flip out screen.
