I was talking to an ex-cop friend about lojack & he said it was pointless. He said that the range is typically 3 miles & doesn't give an exact pin-point location, just the general direction the vehicle is located. So, if the car is dumped in the middle of nowhere, it will be extremely hard to locate. He said that a cheaper, better way (in his opinion) is to get one of those child tracking bracelets. He said they give actual coordinates & all you have to do is zip tie it somewhere in your car. Lojack is often located in similar areas & I'm sure the better criminals know where those are.
