rockford fosgate sound system too quiet?

I wonder...... would a 5-channel amp fix the issue and still be able to control the OEM sub and the oem speakers/tweeters if the connections were spliced?

Inaudible below 20
Idk if I have a bad system or my ears aren't working, but if the volume is below 20 you can bearly make out the lyrics of a song. The usable volume range seems to be from 30 to 40 anything past 40 is no different than 40 and anything below 30 is inaudible. I also don't know if the sound from phone calls is only suppose to come out of the passenger door speaker, but it makes it hard to talk on the handsfree system. This system is horrible compared to my past system with JL audio speakers on a 250watt amp. Is the head unit just crap? Haven't done anything to the audio on this car yet.

I have the 10.2 android head unit now with a built in amp that helps the volume a small bit, but its still not that impressive.
