Replace speakers

If anyone has replaced thier speakers. Did you need any special adapters or just drill new holes. Also what size did you use.

Thanks for any info. I really need to figure this out quick for my wifes car.

6 1/2 inch in the front and rear doors...
If you don't want to cut the door you will need a 1" speaker spacer

just found a post on how to piggy the stock system to keep the rockford so Ill be doing that.

I'd suggest using some cutting boards that you bought from Walmart and make spacers with those. They should also add some weight to the door and strengthen the contact area, helping to reduce rattles.
