what is the best in-dash navi system?
I looked kenwood dnx8120,8170 pioneer z3 and advent amm12n.
since I like the ones with large screen and no huge buttons.
but seems all these models have similar functions but huge diff price
so anyone knows which one have a better or may know other nice ones?

Well the pioneer F-series, even with the updates still remains buggy. I owned an F-900 for about a week before i returned it. Navigation on this piece is not the greatest, the screen is smaller then most competitive models, it uses a low 2volt preout, the voice is annoying, and it suffers from a huge lag time on boot up. Feature wise, This deck is sweet though. Its loaded with everything you could want it to have, from iPod control, to Bluetooth, and voice control.
An alternative to consider would be the JVC NX7000 model. Having used both the pioneer and the JVC, i will tell you that they both have advantages over eachother. I eventually decided with the JVC. Audio wise, the JVC has 5volt preouts, and it sounds much better than the pioneer. The screen is a full 7 inches with a flip down motorized and detachable faceplate. Has the SD card input, with USB and Aux rear connections. My only disatisfaction from this model comes from the slower Ipod interface. However USB and SD cards are much faster for scrolling. Bluetooth requires a seperate adapter, but I believe you might be able to have the bluetooth controls work on the steering wheel if you use a peswix module from peripheral.
just check it out. I will post a pic for you once i get it installed in my lancer. Its still in my civic at the moment.

I love JVC, the navi works awesome and it won't stop displaying a DVD once you start moving like most other DVD players with NAVI built in will do. I'm planning on getting this guy right here. tons of built in features, touch screen with proximity sensor is cool. when you reach for it the on screen controls pop up, move your hand away and they go away.

most dvd players stop playing dvd's cuz there is a illumination wire (orange wire) that people ussual attach, if u dont attach it the double din doesnt kno the cars moving and does it own thing
i would go with alpine or kenwood really great items

on the pioneers you have to hack them before you can have the DVD play while moving. there's no wiring like an illumination wire, it's based off the GPS.
