Looks like about $300-400 for the OEM parts, $30-50 for aftermartket. However, the aftermarket camera will need an aftermarket video screen deck to work.
Has anyone got an aftermarket camera to work in the factory MMCS? I don't care, I don't have the MMCS, but I'm sure a lot of people could save some $ if it does work.
And here's some pics of my deck with the camera on:

Nice, that'd be a great option for those people who have the MMCS. The OEM camera looks great (when mounted right above the plate), don't get me wrong, but to save 300+ dollars I'd definetly get the aftermarket camera.

I just installed an ebay camera on my MR (factory MMCS).
The install went quicker and smoother than I expected. Fishing the wire was pretty simple, only tricky part was getting the interior door sill trim back in and lined up correctly.
There is not much documentation on where to pentrate through to the license plate area so I will comment on what I did.... I drilled a 1" hole behind the trunk plastic latch trim piece (right below the dentent on the sheet metal). This worked out perfectly! It lined up directly with the existing hole above the license plate. I then just fished the wire under the LR passanger seat.
Total cost: ~$50 (ebay camera= $30, adapter= $20)
Total install time: 3.5 hours
I will try and get some pics up soon.

I think the GSR wing blocks more of the rear window than the bigger MR wing
Backup camera would definately be useful. I'm scoping out a camera that will work. I'm probably going to pick up one of those ebay ones that work well at night

lol, yeah, just expired a couple days ago, but I'm waiting on my custom NV plate.
As for hooking it up to the factory nav, I have no idea. I don't have the factory nav, nor do I want it. Either way, I don't know enough about it. I would guess that is NOT a direct plug in since the aftermarket cameras use an RCA style video plug. I doubt any factory nav system has an RCA input for the reaview camera.

I just installed mine...I got laxy and didn't want to go to the store so I used 3 rca "audio" cables strung togther with rca couplers.
Work god for a while then I'll start getting static and lines across the screeen. My guess is since I didn't use a shielded "video" cable, I'm picking up interference...
Heavily shieded video cables on order Being lazy, cost me twice the work
